"If everyone in this world we're on a Christ-Centered
12-step program, this world would be a much better place." This statement
is a heartfelt and passionate belief of songwriter and music worship leader Frankie
Lee of Orange County, California. Frankie has spent the last third of his life
dealing with the hurts, hangups, and habits that life has dealt him. "We
ALL have something that we can work on" says Frankie," be it something
from our past or now."
Knowing the importance of becoming pure in heart, mind, and
soul, Frankie has been a member of several programs. But it wasn't until he joined
a Christ centered program that he began to reach his goal. "For me, Jesus
is the Only Truer Higher Power, and once I gave my life to Christ, and had Him
at the forefront of All my affairs, did my hurts, hang-ups and habits begin to
show them-selves and slowly dissipate away."
And then God blessed him! "I did not write the "Serenity
Song" — God did. I just happened to be holding the pen and pick."
Taking the entire prayer attributed to Reinhold Neibuhrs, Frankie has fashioned
his own version of this wonderful God inspired prayer.
Having only released the song in August of 2003, Frankie is already receiving
letters, e-mails, and phone calls from around the world about the songs healing
power. "The song is helping people get through the day. What a wonderful
gift from God!"
Frankie is the music Worship Leader at Mt Zion Community Church
in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. He has a wife, Lora, and two children,
Cody and Hannah.
