Tricks of the Trade

  • If you spill red wine on your carpet or upholstery, pour white wine on it and pinch with a clean rag.
  • For chewing gum removal — freeze with dry ice or a leak prood ice bag and break off with a hammer.
  • For glue removal — use vinegar.
  • For ink removal — use hairspray and pinch with a clean rag.
  • To brighten your carpet, sprinkle salt and vacuum after an hour.
  • Never use Woolite, Carpet Fresh, Fantastic, or any of the supermarket cleaners. Use Club Soda ONLY! With club soda, there is no residue buildup.
  • Most people try to clean the stain and 'set' it. Then is nothing any cleaner can do.
  • For pet odors, Febreze is a great product.
 
 
 
     
 

Important Facts

  • I rinse the carpet or upholstery with clean water, so there is no residue buildup. Most carpet cleaners do not!
  • Most people wait until they see soil to have their carpet or upholstery cleaned. They have waited too long and have damaged the carpet. The soil is in there — you just don't see it!
  • Do you know that when buying new carpet, if you buy a low-grade carpet and a high-grade pad, then you have a medium-grade carpet? In most cases, the pad is the most important item to buy!
